Flight recorders fished from Potomac crash site

Divers recovered the two flight recorders Wednesday from a crashed Air Florida jetliner which investigators expect will provide vital clues to the cause of last week's fatal accident.

A spokesman for the National Transportation Safety Board said the so-called ''black boxes'' were recovered by diving teams who reentered the Potomac River's icy waters shortly after beginning a seventh day of salvage operations.
