'Fast foods' - often good if you like the style

December 23, 1981

Hamburgers, pizza, and other so-called ''fast foods'' can be as nutritious as traditional meals, according to a report by the American Council on Science and Health.

The council, an independent educational association, said many meals served in fast food restaurants are good sources of nutrition. But it said many fast foods are high in calories.

The report says it's not that fast foods are different from any other kind of food - it's only the speed and style of service that sets fast-food restaurants apart from others.
