East Coast dockworkers boycotting Polish cargoes

The International Longshoremen's Association will boycott shipments between the United States and Poland except for emergency medical and food supplies. Union president Thomas Gleason said the boycott by the 110,000 dockworkers in his union, concentrated on the US East Coast, would start immediately to protest the crackdown on the Polish free trade union Solidarity.
