What's an antigun lobby doing offering supporters a discount on TVs, microwave ovens, and refrigerators? It's a moneymaking scheme for the National Coalition to Ban Handguns. The coalition gets a small commission on every sale that is made. Those interested in the plan pay a $20 fee, which includes the price of their membership in the coalition. No sales figures are available yet for the program, just initiated, but a coalition spokesman says he has been receiving ''lots of phone calls'' about it.

No, discount-priced handguns are not being offered.
