An 'Oink' on the radio? It's Santa Catalina pigs

To learn how to regulate the pig population on Santa Catalina Island, Los Angeles County will spend $1,150 to equip the wild beasts with radio transmitters.

The program will monitor the movements of the pigs, turned loose on the island in the 1930s to eat rattlesnakes. Recently, however, the pigs have attacked deer and goats.
