Do Not Disturb

September 4, 1981

May I inquire? Dear Bumble? I don't mean to pry It's just that I can't help wonder why You're clinging here so still So very quiet You seem, well, awfully lazy. Maybe too much honey? Or have you found euphoria in luscious scent? You never even budged when I picked your yellow dahlia. I just wondered Because bees are always thought so ambitious, busy, occupied. But then, you worked so hard all summer Could it be this late September breeze has rocked you Into slumber? Sorry if I disturbed you I just wondered.
