Escaped spy captured by FBI in Northwest

Fugitive spy Christopher Boyce has been arrested after 19 months on the run, the FBI reported. A hearing before a US magistrate on escape charges was scheduled for today (Aug. 24).
Boyce, convicted in 1977 of selling US satellite secrets to the Soviet Union while working for a defense company, surrendered to FBI agents in a restaurant in this fishing port 60 miles north of Seattle.
the FBI would not say whether it is believed Boyce had resumed contact with Soviet agents since escaping in January 1980, but said that would be investigated. Boyce escaped from prison in Lompoc, Calif., by cutting through barbed wire fences.
