Bill Rogers, from the US, shot a 71 in the final round for a four-round total of 276 to win the 110th British Open Golf Championship at Royal St. George's. Bernhard Langer, a West German, was second at 280, with Britain's Mark James and American Ray Floyd sharing third at 283.
