US output went down 0.1% in June, Fed says

The Federal Reserve Board says production of factories, mines, and utilities fell 0.1 percent in June. During the second quarter, which ended last month, production rose only 0.3 per cent over the previous quarter. The figures were further evidence that the economy had slowed from its surprising ly brisk forward pace in the first quarter of the year.
