Bosses look at grades

June 25, 1981

More and more US employers are looking for applicants with college degrees, according to information from National Personnel Associates, an executive recruiting firm.

Changing jobs in the past, says an NPA officer, used to call for personnel resumes heavy in job-related experience. But the college degree of several years ago appears to carry considerable weight for job switching in the up-to-$ 75,000 salary range.

Top grades in college sway the final decision of many em ployers, says NPA.
