Curbs on use of water eased in south Florida

Water management authorities in south Florida eased restrictions in water usage imposed May 6, substituting a voluntary 10 percent cutback for the previous mandatory 25 percent. The decision followed several days of thunderstorms, which eased a three-month-old drought.
