The Deerfield Inn in Deerfield, Mass., has reopened after being damaged by fire in 1979. The new inn has 11 guest rooms with lovely views of the village and the surrounding countryside, and two rooms have canopy beds. There are three dining rooms, and the main room seats 84 in Chippendale and Federal style chairs at mahogany and cherry tables. There is a smaller dining room, and a coffee shop downstair serves light lunches and has an outdoor terrace that will be used for dining in the summer.

The inn serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, with a menu including traditional New England dishes and classic French preparations. For further information, write to Donald R. Friary, executive dir ector, Historic Deerfield, Deerfield, Mass. 01342.
