Swedish prime minister again forming coalition

May 20, 1981

Swedish Center Party leader Thorbjoern Faelldin became prime minister for the third time when parliament gave him a mandate to form a new center-liberal minority coalition government. The new government replaces Mr. Faelldin's three-party, center-right coalition, which collapsed two weeks ago after Conservatives resigned over a tax reform pact between the ir Centrist and Liberal partners and the Social Democrats.
