Like their counterparts in Northern Ireland, US prison officials have a hunger striker on their hands. Manuel de la Torre Rodriguez, one of about 1,700 Cuban detainees in the Atlanta federal penitentiary, has accepted only water since May 1, according to non-Cuban sources inside the prison. He is protesting what he says is the government's refusal to re lease him to a waiting sponsor in Miami.
