Rights group says it has 'link' to solve Atlanta case

A black civil rights group said it had "identified the link that will break" the case of Atlanta's string of murdered or missing young blacks. Roy Ennis, national chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality, held a news conference on the steps of the Georgia state Capitol to make the announcement. "We know the person who is the critical link and we have him under surveillance," Mr. Ennis said. He added that CORE had given the city of Atlanta a "72-hour ultimatum" to make an arrest or "back away."
