In celebration of children at springtime

April 17, 1981

The germinal spring air Is pure magic This afternoon, And these children -- Undaunted by Winter's tribulations Or the vagueness of April, Spill breathlessly across the threshold of life. Sparkling in the new sunlight, Mere sidewalks can not contain them. Their joy is contagious: The absolute splendor of the May sky And the majesty of t he Creator Mirrored in each perfect smile.
