Farmers, workers press demands in New Delhi

Some 200,000 Indian farmers and industrial workers marched to Parliament Thursday to press a list of demands ranging from higher crop prices to an end to detention without trial. The marchers presented a 12-point charter of demands to Parliament which they called "the Magna Carta of peasants, agr icultural and industrial workers, and consumers."
