the affectionate sun nuzzles the bare neck licks the cheek with warm tongue i walk tall trying to catch the skyborne sound of arrownecked geese wedge winging north: magic since childhood a wonder ritualed from generation to generation along the puddled pavement gaunt old hydro poles pulsing thrumming caroling to their narrow selves . . . reckless flinging ecstatic wires heedless across a bell toned sky bloodtingling sap ringing crow c awing madness!
