March 13, 1981

Gen. Alfonso Armada Comyn, deputy head of the Spanish Army and former military tutor to King Juan Carlos, has been indicted for alleged military rebellion in connection with last month's attempted coup, the Defense Ministry said Thursday. General Armada is the second general to be formally accused in connection with the abortive military uprising, in which rebel civil guards held parliament and the government host age for 18 hours.
