Many wealthy people go to far and distant lands, Try to snatch some glory; They come back with empty hands. Fame is not always for the rich, that do strange, reckless deeds. A king can win much glory; So can the boy who weeds. The rich know not her secret, the maiden they call fame; They only hear her echo; To all 'tis all the same. The greedy despise the poor, Who work, fall, strive again. They do not know the struggle That makes them honest men. All your money doesn't matter, If you sincerly work and strive. Money smooths the way to fame, but The true key; lead a noble life.
