Three books, one new university, and 286,000 students; japan starts new international university

February 23, 1981

Terumasa Akio, director of the Southern Hokkaido International Cultural Exchange Center, is directing an effort to build an international university with the purpose of contributing to "world peace and development."

Already the university has been offered a permanent home -- some 170 acres in Hokkaido near Lake Ohnuma.

But the group needs further suggestions and welcomes hearing from those interested in helping to develop an international institution. Those interested should write to: Terumasa Akio, 135-38 Ohkawa, Nanae-cho, Ka meda-gun, hokkaido 041-11, Japan.
