Will there be yellow ribbons soon for four Britons being held in Iran? Iran is expected to decide shortly on what to do with the four, who are in jail on suspicion of espionage -- although they apparently have not been charged.

Ayatollah Muhammad Beheshti, Iran's chief justice, discussed the case with a Swedish Foreign Ministry official Feb. 4. The Swedish Embassy is taking care of British interests in Tehran since the British pulled out their embassy staff last August.

Britain is holding at least two Iranians in its jails, one on a life sentence for his role in the terrorist takeover of the Iranian Embassy in London. But there is no suggestion so far that the Iranians may be trying to arrange an exc hange of prisoners.m
