Three Louisiana girls plan to enroll in private school

A state judge said three white girls caught up in a bitter fight over desegregation and custody would enroll in a private school rather than an integregated public school ordered by a federal judge. State Judge Richard Lee sat out a deadline imposed by US District Judge Nauman Scott for signing an agreement that the girls would attend predominantly black Jones Street Junior High. He said the girls will probably s tay away from any school until the new semester begins.
