Reagan to pay a call on Mexican President

Ronald Reagan will go to Juarez, Mexico, Jan. 5 for a one-hour courtesy visit with Mexican President Jose Lopez Portillo, Richard Allen, Mr. Reagan's chief national-security adviser, said Mr. Reagan and Mr. Lopez Portillo will meet over lunch. He said the meeting cannot be considered "a full-fledged summit," and stressed it is basically a gesture designed to show Reagan's desire to work closely with the Mexican leaders. Issues such as immigration and agricultural imports are likely to be discussed.
