Shirley Chisholm as a Reagan appointee? It might happen. Black opposition to a Reagan presidency was strong; but that hasn't stopped many blacks from applying to Reagan for jobs.

One who could wind up in a high-level spot is a Democrat Chisholm. Close associates say the feisty Brooklyn congresswoman has tired of the political whirlwind and is willing to accept an appointment by Reagan -- possibly an ambassadorship -- if offered.

Other blacks said to be in the running are Arthur Fletcher of Washington, for Secretary of Labor; Mel Bradley, a Californian, as White House special assistant in charge of minority affairs; and Leroy Tombs, a Kansas businessman, for a position with the Small Business Administration.m
