"Heaven's Gate" fiasco: short takes

* Don't confuse the late "heaven's Gate" with Gates of Heaven, which is an entirely different movie. Made by an independent filmmaker, Errol Morris, "Gates of Heaven" is a documentary about a pet cemetery. slow, static, and intense, it probes its subject with an eye to documenting a little-considered subject, and incidentally dissecting an odd corner of the American dream. enlightening, if not entertaining.
