Brazil's annual inflation rate returned to a record 109.1 percent in October after dipping to 104.4 percent the previous month. Increases in the prices of agricultural products such as beans, rice, corn, and meat, together with rises in the government-controlled prices of gasoline, cars, coffee, sugar, cigarettes , and milk, contributed to the inflationary spiral.
