October 30, 1980

The Presidents of Egypt and Israel announced that they have agreed on steps to improve relations between the two countries and break the deadlock in negotiations on Palestinian autonomy. After holding talks here, they told reporters the steps included agreement on cross-border trade, more civil flights between Egypt and Israel, and closer cultural exchanges.
