A member of the Salvadoran human rights committee, Ramon Valladares, was shot and killed in central San Salvador, police said. Earlier this month, the group's secretary, Maria Magdalena Henriquez Pineda, was killed by kidnappers. It is believed ultrarightists were responsible.
