Shamu

Hi! I am here to tell you about the killer whale, Shamu. Shamu performs at Sea World. Shamu is 17 years old. He weights four tons. Shamu is fed 200 lbs. of fish a day. Unlike other whales, he has some very beautiful white markings. Did you know that killer whales like Shamu hit their tails on the surface of the water to communicate with each other? Do not try to outswim them because they can swim up to about 40 miles per hour. Remember now, killer whales are very powerful!
