McCarthy explains why hes's voting for Reagan

Former Democratic Sen. Eugene McCarthy announced he will vote for Ronald Reagan for president and denied ever saying the GOP candidate was out of touch with reality. Mr. Mc- Carthy said he had come to the conclusion that Mr. Reagan's positions on nuclear disarmament and taxes were better than President Carter's and that the Republican nominee "has run a more dignified campaign. . . ."
