Three killed in Jerusalem; an alert on new sabotage

October 6, 1980

Three people were killed and seven wounded when an explosion apparently set by Palestinian guerrillas wrecked a post office in a Tel Aviv suburb. The explosives, which had been planted under the counter in the post office, went off when about a dozen people were waiting to be served. Police called on the public to be alert against a possible new wave of Palestinian sabotage attacks. They did not discount a possible link between this attack and a series of attacks against Jewish targets in Paris by French neo-Nazis.
