N. Korea halts unity effort with jab at South's leader

President Kim II Sung, dicatator of communist North Korea for more than 30 years, launched a bitter attack on South Korea's new strong man, President Chun Doo Hwan, and abruptly scrapped renewed efforts to reunify the Korean Peninsula. Representatives of the two Koreas were scheduled to meet Friday at the truce village of Panmunjom to try to set up talks at cabinet level.
