Japan's two largest auto manufacturers say they are already seeing a fall in their sales and shipments of cars and trucks to the United States during the rest of this year. A senior vice-president of Toyota says the fall is due to a number of market factors, including the increasing sales of US-built small cars and introduction of a 25 percent levy on light-truck imports from Japan, which began Aug. 21.
