The next political hurricane in the Caribbean may be named Grenada. Grenada, an island with close ties to Cuba, is reported: * Dredging and expanding two of its deepwater ports.

* Expanding its airport in a huge, Cuban-sponsored project.

* Working on unexplained construction at one bay near St. George's, the capital city.

US policymakers wonder if Grenada is about to offer an anchorage to Soviet Naval vessels. They ask wheth er the construction at Prickly Bay is designed for refueling Soviet subs

It could all be very innocent. After all, Grenada is a favored spot of US, British, and Canadian tourists and cruise ships, and present facilities are strained. But doubts persist.m
