US units agree on targets in white-collar-crime fight

Based on an eight-month Justice Department study, attorney General Benjamin Civiletti has announced seven priorities in the fight against white-collar crime for all 95 US attorney's offices, all inspectors general of federal agencies and the FBI. They include emphasis on combating corruption among public officials; crimes against the government by the private citizens; fraud against business; crimes against consumers; crimes against investors; crimes against employees; hazarous waste dumping and other pollution threatening public health.
