The Australian Council of Trade Unions has endorsed widespread action against the West Australian state government and companies involved in drilling for oil on a site held sacred by Aoborigines. Aborigine representatives last week protested to a UN subcommission on the rights of minnorities in Geneva, asking the UN to intervene on their behalf.
