Striking fisherman lifted their blockade at most French ports Sunday for 24 hours, in what they said was a conciliatory gesture before Wednesday's Cabinet meeting on the dispute. But the fishermen said if a solution were not found at the meeting they would redouble their efforts to stop all maritime traffic to France.
