Correction

A chart was published in the Aug. 21 Monitor showing the results of Gallup polls taken since March 1980. The chart incorrectly showed John Anderson recieving more than 20 percent preference in the polls' samples. In fact, he was preferred by only 14 percent of the sample in the two most recent Gallup surveys. The poll information given in the accompanying story was correct. The Monitor regrets the mistake.
