July 15, 1980

Egyptian and Israeli officials met Sunday night and again on Monday trying to agree on an agenda for talks on Palestinian autonomy, but have so far agreed on just one item. The item covers a proposed self-rule council for the 1.2 million Palestinians in the Jordan West Bank and Gaza Strip, Dr. Butros Ghali, Egypt's minister of state for foreign affairs said.

A full plenary session of the autonomy negotiations will take place in Alexandria Aug. 4 and 5.
