No Carter tax-cut plan at least till fall -- Miller

Treasury Secretary G. William Miller said Sunday the Carter administration would not propose before October a tax cut for 1981 to stimulate the lagging economy. ideally, he told Reuters, President Carter would not discuss his intentions on the tax issue until Congress recessed on Oct. 4 for the final runs recessed on Oct. 4 for the final run-up to the Nov. 4 general election, and might not propose any tax cut at all in 1981.
