Easy deflectors

April 25, 1980

To the real estate editor: The letter to the Energy Q&A column of Feb. 29, entitled "Clear the Baseboard ," seemed rather complicated compared to what I have been using for several years.

Made by Deflect-o, they are clear-plastic deflectors which are attached to baseboard registers by strong magnets and can be purchased in hardware stores. They deflect the warm air out from under the drapes and furniture, prevent drapes from billowing, warm the floor, and help keep the drapes, carpet, and furnishings cleaner.

I am a consistent reader of your column and find many helpful ideas for energy conservation. Mrs. Vernon H. Walther Two Rivers, Wis.
