House ethics panel asks censure for Rep. Wilson

The House ethics committee recommended Thursday that Rep. Charles H. Wilson (D) of California be censured by te House on eight charges of misconduct. The committee last week found Mr. Wilson guilty of 8 of 15 counts of misconduct, charging he accepted $10,500 in kickbacks and converted $24,000 in campaign funds to his personal use. The Rules Committee is expected to send the resolution to the House floor for a vote within about two weeks.
