Leftist guerrillas holding the Dominican Embassy released two more hostages Thursday, reducing the number of their captives to 25 and raising hopes for progress in a new round of ransom negotiations.

A Foreign Ministry source identified the released hostages as Edgar Hernandez , Colombian undersecretary for foreign policy, and Mario Guzman, a private citizen of the Dominican Republic.
