Prince Norodom Sihanouk, the former Cambodian head of state, said Wednesday that conditions in his homeland under the pro-Vietnamese Heng Samrin government are better than they were under the pro-Chinese Khmer Rouge and that he would like to return.

"If the majority of my supporters allow me to go, I want to return home," he told a Peking press conference.
