Israelis tell West Bank mayors they can't travel

Two mayors of towns in the Israeli-occupied West Bank of Jordan have been refused permission by the Israeli military government to attend pro-Palestinian meetings in the United States and Canada, a military spokesman said. Nablus Mayor Bassam Shaka and Halhoul Mayor Muhammad Milhem have been informed they may not travel to a Palestine human-rights campaign meeting in the US and a meeting of the Arab Union in Toronto.
