One of the Off Broadway's season's funniest; Dusa, Fish, Stas, & Vi

March 12, 1980

This play concerns the four so-nicknamed young women housemates of the title. The characters are observed by British playwright Pam Gems in various stages of despair, disintegration, and self-destruction. Laura Esterman, Judith Ivey, Ellen Parker, and Kathryn Grody cope with Miss Gems's group study more successfully than Dusa, Fish, Stas, and Vi cope with their assorted crises. Which probably makes the evening at the Manhattan Theater Club more tolerable than might otherwise have been the case. Nancy Meckler directed.
