In explanation

The article in Chinese on the back page of this section is a translation of most of the overview story that starts on the cover page. It is for the convenience of thousands of Chinese readers, as this section will be distributed at the forthcoming Canton Fair and mailed to some 2,500 leaders of the People's Republic of China.

The two Chinese characters on the cover and at the top of each page mean "China." Both they and the translation are printed in simplified Chinese, used in China today.
