Two more hostages freed at embassy in El Salvador

Left-wing militants occupying the Spanish Embassy here have released two more hostages, but say they will not leave the building until five of their imprisoned comrades are freed.

A spokesman for the Popular League of Feb. 28 (LP-28) told Reuters by telephone Sunday that the militants released two Salvadoran employees Saturday night as a goodwill gesture.

But he said they would hold on to Spanish Ambassador Victor Sanchez Mezas and five other hostages until the authorities released five imprisoned colleagues.
