Afghan religious leader calls for Kabul uprising

An exiled Afghan religious leader, Sheikh Muhammad Asef Mohseni Qandahari, has issued a holy order calling for a three-day uprising in the Soviet-occupied Afghan capital of Kabul. The order, telephoned to Reuters by the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan in Iran, called for the establishment of an Islamic Republic in Afghanistan and the expulsion of all Soviet troops.
